PASSIFLORACEAE
This bizarre plant is native to the savannas of northeastern South Africa, extending as far as Zimbabwe. Its natural range is quite limited, making it a dangerous target for wildlife.
It is related to the passion fruit but develops a woody trunk from which herbaceous stems with tendrils emerge. Once the leaves unfurl, you may recognize Passiflora-like features. The specimens offered are already old plants that truly shine thanks to their already thick, green, and smooth trunks.
Full sun. During the growing season, water only when the substrate is almost dry. At the end of the growing season (target October), allow it to become dormant by not watering. The plant will wither its tendrils, and you can prune them off yourself when they are no longer visible.
IMPORTANT: These are large plants. It is best to contact us to select a specific plant.
