APOCYNACEAE
Native to tropical Southeast Africa in biomes with drier, warmer, and sunnier climates. This beautiful desert rose grows no taller than 3.5 meters in the wild. In cultivation, it will be considerably smaller. A magnificent plant for those who appreciate the bonsai look. As the plant matures, it will branch profusely and bear a beautiful crown of glossy, leathery leaves. These plants also flower quite prolifically, and theoretically, this usually occurs in the fall and winter. In short, this plant is a true addition to any collection.
Full sun, water during the growing season when the substrate becomes dry. Reduce watering in the fall and discontinue it in the winter to prevent rot. Leaves will drop but sprout again in the spring.
