EUPHORBIACEAE
This caudex-forming Euphorbia species is native to Southern Africa, from Angola to KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. It's a somewhat unusual plant that's rarely offered. During the growing season, the woody caudex forms a row of stems with lance-shaped leaves coated in a thick waxy layer. An automatic bonsai effect. It blooms magnificently with highly complex inflorescences that are a true feast for the eyes. Be careful when damaging and/or cutting this plant; the latex that oozes from the wounds is poisonous and should therefore be handled with care (eyes, skin, pets, etc.).
Full sun, water during the growing season when the plant's stems emerge from the caudex. Water when the substrate dries out. Do not water in winter to prevent root rot.
