APOCYNACEAE
Native to South Africa, this plant is a very well known species among caudex fans.
It forms a very aesthetically pleasing woody caudex from which several stems emerge during the growing season. These stems climb towards the light and curl around nearby structures. It's best to provide a stake to help the stems grow upwards neatly. A very easy plant that I would recommend for beginners.
Full sun. During the growing season, when the caudex produces new stems, water regularly when the pot becomes dry. Keep dry from about mid-October; the leaves will fall off. Stems can be cut back to the desired length. You will see new foliage appear again in spring.
