CACTACEAE
The Totem Pole Cactus
This slow-growing cactus is prized for its atypical (monstrous) shape. It is a spontaneous mutation discovered in a plant in the northeast of El Arco in Baja California, Mexico. Several branches there had the atypical monstrous shape. These sections were vegetatively propagated and thus form the basis for a whole range of clones available today.
Full sun and watering when the substrate becomes dry during the growing season. Completely dry in winter (e.g., late September to mid-March).
