ANACARDIACEAE
These magnificent trees can only be found in the wild in Madagascar. They are beautifully detailed and are becoming increasingly popular in the hobby. They develop a beautiful succulent trunk with abundant branching that bears tiny, compound, glossy leaves. They are very popular as bonsai because their bark and leaves, even at a small size, offer an "aged" appearance.
Full sun, water regularly during the growing season when the substrate is almost dry. Stop watering in winter (aim for early October) and allow them to go dormant. The leaves will very slowly begin to wilt and fall off. Don't panic, they will reappear automatically in spring, and you can resume watering.
