ASPARAGUS
This small Ornithogalum comes from the Cape Province of South Africa. It's a very small Ornithogalum that forms clusters, creating a small carpet of bulbs. Possibly my favorite bulb plant. It blooms beautifully and en masse after dormancy, a true spectacle. After the flowers, the leaves appear, which don't grow much longer than a few centimeters. Very easy to cultivate.
The difference with O. lithopsoides is that its leaves are shorter, sharper, and less succulent.
Full sun and watering from late August to May/June (winter grower that goes dormant in the summer). Some successfully water year-round.
