ASPARAGACEAE
Also known by its older name, Urginea epigea, the foxtail lily grows wild across a large part of Africa. The large, scaled bulbs are often potted above ground for their appearance; in nature, they are hidden just below the soil surface.
A typical bulbous plant that produces a magnificent, giant spike topped with numerous white flowers. These sometimes appear after the winter, before the leaves emerge again.
A very easy-to-grow plant with few requirements.
Full sun. During the growing season, when the bulb is producing leaves, water regularly when the pot becomes dry. Keep dry during the winter to prevent bulb rot.
