PEDALIACEAE
These larger trees originate from Madagascar and are truly beautiful and easy-to-grow gems. In the wild, they remain small, reaching a maximum height of 2 meters. They store water and nutrients in their succulent trunks to help them weather dry spells. The leaves are beautifully and softly hairy and slightly sticky. If you touch and lightly crush the leaves, your hand smells nutty, almost slightly stinky.
They bloom very easily and for a long time in a consecutive sequence. They are the smallest flowers in the genus and resemble yellow petunias in shape.
In short, a plant that offers a lot of potential as a houseplant or for a conservatory/veranda.
Full sun. Water thoroughly during the growing season whenever the substrate starts to dry out. Keep dry in winter. The plant will shed its leaves, but don't panic. They'll return in the spring, and then you can start watering again.
